California Independent Study is Unique

There are so many things to love about California.

The beautiful climates, the geographic diversity, the beautiful oceans and the variety of Independent Study options. Yes, it's true; compared to many other states the Golden State shines when it comes to parent choice and student options in education.

Families may choose to homeschool with any method, curriculum, or timeframe they choose. California Independent Study families may elect to homeschool for religious, social or business reasons. California Independent Study families have the power to choose the very  best options for their child.

California Independent Study children may, during their high school years elect to participate in concurrent enrollment at a local community college. Surprisingly the state may even pay the tuition! It is not uncommon for the graduating California Independent Study student to transfer as a Junior to the university of their choosing.

California Independent Study students also have an option to "test out" at the age of sixteen or by the end of the sophomore year, by taking a state test called the CHSPE or California High School Proficiency Exam.

There are many more options available specifically for the California Independent Study student so please contact an Arbor advisor to find out more information or to discuss how these special differences may benefit your child!
